Yes, you can buy Almond milk from the store. But, It has fillers and stabilizers and Chemicals in it. If the ingredients said : Almonds,water. I would say, Dont make it yourself! But it doesn't. 
You will need a little time for this one, because the almonds have to soak overnight. Otherwise its super easy!
What you will need

  • A Pitcher
  • A strainer, preferably a big one.
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 4 cups water
  • ninja or high speed blender
  • 3-4 cups cold water
Place two cups of almonds in your blender and add 4 cups of water. Let it sit overnight.
In the morning drain out the water and add your fresh cold water, pulse in your blender for a min or two.
strain out the almond "meat" and set aside.
There is your almond milk! Its really easy! You can make it lighter or heavier depending on how much water you add to it.


Sweet Creamy Cashew Pick-Me-Up

I am on a 7 day RAW fast right now, And I needed something to fill me up that wasn't veggies, so I made this up all on my own!
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1/4-1/2 cup plain cashews
10 drops liquid stevia
I wizzed it all together in my ninja and added two ice cubes. It was creamy, nutty and sweet! You can also add warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. This would probably be really good hot as well!

Sarah, I call myself "Paleo". I don't say I'm "a" paleo, I just say that I am Paleo. I began my Paleo journey through the crossfit community, one of the largest paleo communities out there. They refer to themselves as Paleo, so that's what I say. I do have to explain it to people, but once they learn it, they get it.

I also love that we have the same food processor :)
